PACKAGE 1

CONSTRUCTION FOR BEGINNERS

This training program is for anyone seeking to start a career in construction. These modules are entry level job-ready training  

ONLINE AND IN-PERSON MODULES

The program includes both online and in-person training. Online modules are self-paced, while in-person training sessions are scheduled based on your availability 

Module 1: Introduction to the Construction Industry

Learn the structure of the Canadian construction industry, common job roles, and pathways for growth. This module sets the foundation for understanding how construction sites operate and what is expected of workers. 

Module 2: Construction Life Skills & Workplace Behaviour

Develop essential soft skills such as punctuality, reliability, teamwork, and communication. Learn how to behave professionally and adapt to the expectations of a Canadian jobsite.  

Module 3: Safety Awareness & Worker Rights

Understand your rights and responsibilities as a construction worker under Canadian law. Learn about PPE, jobsite hazards, emergency procedures, and how to keep yourself and others safe. Ministry Certified Safety training is provided by a 3rd Party company which is mandatory before work starts

Module 4: Construction Drawings (Basics)

Introduction and ability to read basic blueprints and construction drawings to follow instructions accurately. 

Module 5: Introduction to Tools

Practice using hand and power tools under instructor supervision in a controlled environment. Apply real-world safety protocols, including correct lifting, handling, and workspace setup. 

Module 6: Material Handling, Measure and Cut

This module introduces safe and efficient methods for handling, lifting, and transporting construction materials on-site. Participants will also learn how to accurately measure and cut materials to required specifications, ensuring precision and reducing waste. 

Module 7: General Hands-On Training

This module provides entry-level practical, hands-on training in a real or simulated construction environment, allowing participants to apply learned skills directly to tools, materials, and jobsite tasks. Trainees will gain confidence through supervised activities that mirror real-world construction scenarios. 

Exam and Certification

At the end of training, learners will complete a final assessment to validate their understanding of key concepts. Successful candidates receive a certificate of completion for job readiness.  

Resume Builder and Interview Preparation

Guides learners in creating a professional construction resume that highlights relevant skills and experience. Includes formatting tips, content guidance, and sample templates. 


Prepares candidates for job interviews through practice questions, roleplay, and strategies to answer confidently. Focus is placed on communication style, dress code, and employer expectations.

This module provides an overview of basic concrete or framing work, focusing on tasks such as site preparation, mixing, pouring, and wheelbarrow handling. Learners will gain practical experience with the general labour duties involved in supporting concrete crews on construction sites 

Module 9: Simulated Workday & Job Readiness

This module replicates a full construction workday, reinforcing time management, teamwork, and jobsite expectations. Participants will demonstrate their skills, follow safety protocols, and receive feedback to prepare for real employment opportunities.
