ONLINE MODULES

All module are online. There will be a question and answer session before your Exam.

Module 1: Introduction to Canadian Building Codes

Learn the basics of Canadian building codes, safety regulations, and inspection requirements. Understand why codes matter, how they impact your tasks, and how to work within legal guidelines on site. 

Module 2: Reading Basic Building Drawings

Understand how to read and interpret simple construction drawings and site plans. Learn to identify symbols, scales, material notes, and instructions used by site supervisors and project managers. 

Module 3: Use of Basic Construction Tools and Materials

Get familiar with the names, uses, and safe handling of common tools like hammers, drills, levels, and saws. Learn how to choose and care for construction materials like concrete, lumber, insulation, and fasteners. 

Module 4: Jobsite Safety and Worker Rights

Learn about personal protective equipment (PPE), hazard awareness, and emergency procedures. Understand your rights as a worker in Canada, including safety reporting, work refusal, and WSIB procedures. 

Module 5: Construction Life Skills & Professionalism

Build workplace readiness skills including punctuality, teamwork, respect, and communication. Develop habits that help you become reliable and successful on a Canadian jobsite. 

Module 6: Introduction to Workplace Culture & Communication

 Gain confidence in understanding Canadian jobsite etiquette, language, and reporting structures. Learn how to take instructions clearly, speak professionally, and follow through on assigned tasks. 

Exam and Certification

At the end of training, learners will complete a final assessment to validate their understanding of key concepts. Successful candidates receive a certificate of completion for job readiness.  

Resume Builder and Interview Preparation

Guides learners in creating a professional construction resume that highlights relevant skills and experience. Includes formatting tips, content guidance, and sample templates. 


Prepares candidates for job interviews through practice questions, roleplay, and strategies to answer confidently. Focus is placed on communication style, dress code, and employer expectations.
